Len Perlmutter is President of LAO Inc., and an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado. Between 1947 and 1987, he was an executive in a construction business that began as Perlmutter and Sons and ultimately became Stanley Structures Inc. In 1989 he was chairman of the board of Colorado Open Lands.

He received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Colorado.

Mr. Perlmutter serves as Chairman of the Board of the Rocky Mountain Heart Consortium and serves on the Board of Trustees of Midwest Research Institute and on the National Advisory Board of the Santa Fe Opera.
