Lung Line® is a free information service for healthcare consumers provided by National Jewish Health, and the service is staffed by registered nurses who have years of clinical experience. These nurses provide educational information on lung, allergic and immune diseases to healthcare consumers who call, e-mail or contact National Jewish Health through our Web site or other Web sites.
Since Lung Line® began answering calls in 1983, the staff has provided answers to more than 1,000,000 contacts. Since the mid 90s, Lung Line® and Physician Line nurses have screened all new pulmonary, allergy, rheumatology and immunology patients seen at National Jewish Health.
Who Should Contact Lung Line®?
Do you have a question about asthma, allergies or other lung disease? You do not have to be a patient to use our Lung Line® service. Nurses are available to answer your questions about early detection, care and prevention of respiratory, allergic and immune diseases. Although they can't diagnose conditions or suggest specific medical care, they can review topics to discuss with your healthcare provider and provide state-of-the-art information. In addition to answering your questions, they can send you free educational materials and refer you to a specialist, if indicated. Lung Line® nurses can also answer your questions about National Jewish Health and send information about our patient care programs.
If you seek disease information or if you are interested in becoming a patient at National Jewish Health, contact a Lung Line® nurse today at 1-800-222-5864.
