Career Opportunities at National Jewish Health
Equal Employment Opportunity & Affirmative Action
National Jewish Health strives to maintain not only a policy, but also a dedication to equal employment opportunity and affirmative action.
In our commitment to fulfill and further our mission, National Jewish Health seeks a campus climate that welcomes, celebrates, and promotes respect. We will also develop and communicate policies and promote values which discourage intolerance and discrimination.
We are committed to ensuring that all persons are entitled to equal employment opportunity and we do not discriminate against employees, or qualified applicants because of race, color, religion, sex, or sexual orientation, national origin, age, citizenship status, marital status, or disability. Equal employment opportunity will be extended to all persons in all aspects of the employer-employee relationship, including recruitment, hiring, upgrading, training, promotion, transfer, discipline, layoff, recall, and termination.
Our Affirmative Action Plan includes efforts to increase the representation of minorities, women, individuals with disabilities, disabled veterans and Vietnam-Era veterans. This plan can be found in the Human Resources Department.
Pay Practices
We pride ourselves on recruiting the best of the best. We recognize that to maintain our status as a Global Leader our employees must be highly skilled and paid fairly. Our Compensation Department continually conducts market salary surveys, comparing our positions with those in the local area to make sure we are paying our employees what they deserve.
Merit increases are awarded annually in recognition of all of the hard work, dedication and accomplishments throughout the year. The merit increase is tied to an annual evaluation of the performance of job duties and customer service.
National Jewish Health encourages growth for our employees, both in their current position and with promotion opportunities. In fact, we post many of our openings in-house only. Our Human Resources philosophy includes working along side our management team to help provide an environment ripe in opportunity and rich in potential.
Job Descriptions are established for each position, providing employees with a clear picture of what their role is at National Jewish Health. Job Descriptions are reviewed annually to ensure they remain accurate.
