Patient Care at National Jewish Health

National Jewish Health remains today as it began in 1899 – a national, independent, patient-care institution dedicated to educating and exploring the frontiers of medical science.

While patients with drug-resistant tuberculosis continue to be cared for in a special unit at National Jewish Health, the vast majority of patients are seen in outpatient clinics that treat a wide range of lung, allergic and immune diseases.

Chronically-ill children, in particular, find the bright, cheery pediatric day unit a pleasant change from the frequent overnight hospital stays many have experienced most of their young lives. Young or old, the goal is for each to leave National Jewish Health knowing how to better manage his or her disease.

At National Jewish Health we provide patient care that is thorough, multidisciplinary and tailored to the needs of each patient.

Our staff takes the time to know our patients and really understand their conditions and concerns.  Our doctors may spend hours with each patient, which is quite different from today’s average 7-10 minute office visit.
