Asthma Research - Results from Recent Studies

National Jewish is rated as one of the top ten independent biomedical research institutions - of any kind - in the world. We are respected worldwide for our research programs in asthma and other chronic and life-threatening illnesses. The discoveries from our research programs will have a major impact on asthma, allergies and other diseases we treat and/or research.

Internationally recognized as leaders in their fields of study, our researchers' expertise and reputation have garnered a high success rate with grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Despite our small size, we are in the top 4.5 percent of institutions in the country funded by the NIH, in terms of absolute dollars received.

Continuing our tradition of scientific innovation, National Jewish has numerous asthma research projects underway including investigating nocturnal asthma, steroid-resistant asthma, pollution and asthma, viruses and asthma and how early life exposures to allergens may help protect children from asthma.
