Colorado Quitline
National Jewish Health is the contracted agent with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment for the operation of the Colorado Quitline. Operations commenced in December 2002. National Jewish Health has responsibility for all activities associated with the call center, including receiving and processing all intake calls; a FAX referral system with healthcare providers; performing a series of five cessation counseling calls within six weeks of the intake call; developing customized educational material in support of the needs for Colorado residents seeking to quit tobacco use, including pregnant callers, teens, chew/spit tobacco users and Native Americans; program evaluation and outcomes reporting; and, participation in marketing planning, media placement and related activities to promote the program.
