Section of Critical Care & Hospital Medicine (CC&HM)
The Section of Critical Care & Hospital Medicine specializes in the care of the acutely-ill patient. Through a partnership with HealthONE/Rose Medical Center, the National Jewish Health CC & HM faculty provide a broad and comprehensive range of clinical services for patients with serious and life-threatening medical conditions, at the Rose Medical Center campus, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Beyond providing exceptional clinical care, the Section actively participates in medical student and internal medicine resident education through its relationship with the University of Colorado Denver & Health Sciences Center. The Section supports professional education/continuing medical education events including the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s Fundamentals of Critical Care Support class. Also in keeping with the mission of National Jewish Health, the CC & HM faculty participate in clinical and translational research initiatives focusing on such diseases as acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and sepsis.
