The Basic Science Section is an interdivisional program in the Department of Medicine headed by Brian Day, PhD. The goal is to facilitate and promote basic science discovery at National Jewish Health. These new discoveries into the pathogenic mechanisms of human disease will aid medical advancements in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Faculty in the Basic Science Section have diverse research interests in respiratory biology, and their research interests focus on the pathogenesis of a number of lung disorders.
